"The Va Dinci Cod"  by A.R.R.R. Roberts
(writing as Don Brine, a.k.a. Adam Roberts)

It was only a matter of time before someone decided to ride the coattails of the much debated The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.

Mr. Roberts (writer of: The Soddit, The Sellamillion & Star Warped) takes us on a brief yet hilarious journey with his anti-hero Robert Donglan in search of the Catholic Church’s use of the Symbol of the Cod and the true poser of The Mona Lisa.

The story takes place in London, rather than Paris, at the National History Museum.  Of course, there’s the know-it-all police officer, the old distrustful friend, an overly friendly priest, and the token female partner in the chase.  Donglan, a confirmed couch-potato, is hardly the person one might expect to solve a crime; however, he does inject the tale with a unique use of the English language.

Though it should only take the average humanoid about an hour and a half to get through, it is an amusing take on religious conspiracy theories.  Well worth the price to shut up Dan Brown enthusiasts.

Caveat: Will make one look at Christian fish symbols in a completely new light.
